Dive Boss
Derek Causarano | Instructor
I’ve been diving since 2010, but my fascination with scuba started long before that. When I was growing up, I would watch the divers training in the pool after swimming lessons at the YMCA and beg my parents to let me join them. I couldn’t understand why anyone wouldn’t want to explore that world beneath the surface! Years later, that childhood curiosity has turned into a passion for exploring, learning, teaching, and sharing the underwater world with others. I’ve continued developing my skills and experience as a diver over the years, becoming a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor in 2026. Today, I’m also a specialty instructor in Enriched Air, Drift Diving, Night Diving and Dry Suit Diving, as well as in Oxygen Administration and Emergency First Response.
There’s a Whole Other World Down There What keeps drawing me back is the sheer sense of wonder. The underwater world is unlike anything we experience on land, and being able to explore a place that has been seen by such a tiny fraction of the world’s population is an incredible privilege. But for me, diving has never been just about what’s beneath the surface. It’s about the people, the places, and the adventures. I love sharing that experience with new divers as they discover scuba for the first time. I love helping experienced divers build new skills and confidence. And I love meeting people who simply want to see what all the excitement is about.
I Don’t Have a Favourite Dive And honestly? I don’t think I ever want to. Every dive has something different to offer. Maybe it’s discovering a new wreck, exploring somewhere I’ve never been, seeing something unexpected underwater, or simply spending time with great people who share the same passion. For me, the best part of diving is the next adventure - seeing new places, making new friends, challenging myself, and wondering what’s waiting around the next corner… or below the next wave.
So… Where Are We Going? I’m always looking for a new adventure and, more importantly, another dive buddy. Whether you’re an experienced diver looking for your next adventure, someone thinking about getting certified, or a complete non-diver who has always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater, I’d love to help you take that first step - or your next one. You bring the curiosity. I’ll help you find the adventure. So if you’re ready to get underwater, just say the words: ”Let’s go diving!”

The Salty One
Tyler Smith | Divemaster
My dive journey started in 2022. The first time I took a breath underwater, I knew I was going to be hooked on diving. I gained my Divemaster Certification in 2025 with plans to share my passion for this hobby with friends and colleagues.
My favorite dives have focused on exploring the shipwrecks of the great lakes. I look forward to diving local wreck such as "The Tiller" or Drifts within the Niagara River with our members. I am always more than happy to get in the water, whether its the Scuba Park, River Drifts or even a pool dive.
My progress through diving has been focused on progressing down the technical diving route. As a self proclaimed nerd, I take great interest in learning to further my diving with mixed gas blends, decompression and overhead diving.
The next dives on my wish list are Cave Dives and Diving with sharks.
